Brazil Indians protest outside presidential palace
RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — News reports say about 500 Brazilian Indians protesting over land demarcation issues have clashed with guards outside the presidential palace.
Guards showered demonstrators with pepper spray as they climbed a ramp leading to the Planalto Palace in the capital of Brasilia.
G1 Internet portal said no injuries were immediately reported.
The report said the protesters were angry about a ministerial decision they say would hinder the creation of Indian reservations.
